Giving Full Attention

(J.R. – Indiana, USA) – Last week I was playing ‘phone tag’ with a client who need some work completed in a tight timeframe. On Monday, I was on my way to a dinner when I received a message from a client requesting a phone call later in the evening. I knew I could cut the dinner short to talk to him on my way home in the car, but remembered the cube that said, « Value Every Person, Every Idea. » The people that I was meeting that evening deserved my full attention too.

I asked my client if we could talk the next day and he was agreeable. During the dinner one friend shared a tough time she had been going through and I was grateful to be fully there for her not and looking at the clock. When I talked to my client the next day, we made a lot of progress as I was able to spend more time and attention with him as well.
